2022 Highlights

2022 Highlights

As we wish farewell to 2022, we'd like to take a look back and reflect on our highlights from the year.

January

The year kicked off with an exciting event as we headed off to Miami for Phacilitate’s Advanced Therapies Conference. The event connects industry leaders and was a fantastic opportunity for 3P innovation to meet with like-minded companies. January also saw the appointment of our new Managing Director - Nick Brooks!

February

In February, following our sustained, continuous growth over the last few years, we decided to extend the existing 3P innovation brand to clearly differentiate between our product portfolios.

Thus, 3P custom automation, 3P customer care and 3P pharma equipment, were born…

We were also lucky enough to attend ECI: Advancing Manufacture of Cell and Gene Therapies VII, an event that brings together leading academics and industry members to showcase their latest breakthroughs in advancing engineering and manufacturing in next generation therapies.

March

In March, we cut the sod of our second purpose-built facility in Warwick. The investment of £5M into an eco-friendly 30,000 sq. ft. purpose-built facility, has doubled the size of our premises! We look forward to moving in, in the New Year.

April

April saw 3P innovation and S3 Process join forces to help make fill-finish equipment easily accessible to pharmaceutical manufacturers in the UK and Ireland .

“3P innovation have a fabulous reputation for using their engineering excellence to produce tailor-made solutions for their customers.” - Duncan Betteley, Director at S3 Process.

May

In May we attended another event: Respiratory Drug Delivery (RDD 2022). Over the last few years, COVID-19 has held a spotlight to drug delivery to the nose and lungs, this in-person event brought together the respiratory world to share what they learned since their last meeting in-person.

June

We also attended the 13th Global Drug Delivery and Formulation Summit. The DDF Summit brought together leading formulation development and drug delivery scientists, from both industry and academia, to share and discuss their latest work.

July

In the summer, we held a webinar with Sales and Marketing Director – David Johnson, and Controls Engineer – Chris Webber, to discuss the design and commission of robotics in automation. You can watch the recording here.

August

We welcomed 8 new interns and 9 graduates to the team. Our award-winning Graduate Development Programme has led to a yearly average revenue growth of 23% and a 16% decrease in staff turnover whilst expanding the skill sets of our graduates and enabling them to excel at their chosen specialism within 3P innovation.

September

Formed a new partnership with West-coast agent Margaret Stava, of BioPharmEquip.

‘The West Coast is a key strategic region for us and it was important we partnered with an organisation that both mirrored our key company values but also has the right level of experience and knowledge in the ATMP sector to really deliver value and insight to our customers.' - David Johnson, Sales & Marketing Director at 3P innovation

October

October was a busy month at 3P innovation! On 18th we attended PDA Universe of Pre-Filled Syringes and Injection Devices Conference, where we launched a 'teaser campaign' ahead of our new product launch next Spring. The following week we were off to Boston to exhibit at PODD: Partnership in Drug Delivery.

November

3P innovation took part in the  UK’s “Wear-it” study, helping to understand Covid transmission in the workplace, such that future pandemics can be mitigated based on scientific evidence. As an SME with both offices and production facilities with near full occupancy, we could offer the study an excellent opportunity to gather real world data. At 3P innovation, we are proud to be playing our small part to protect workers against future pandemics. And as a data-driven organisation, we are pleased to be providing real world data to help protect the planet from future pandemics.

December

The year wrapped up in Edinburgh, where we exhibited at Drug Delivery to the lungs. DDL is an annual event, attracting a wide variety of attendees, including scientists, academics, clinicians, regulators and industry experts. The conference brings great minds together, and we very much enjoyed reconnecting with colleagues and friends from the scientific community.
