2021 Highlights

This year has been a busy year for 3P innovation, with new additions to the technology family and big celebrations throughout the year.

Let’s take a look at this last year at 3P innovation!

January

  • At the start of the year, we became employee-owned in an effort to secure our long-term future, for the benefit of both our customers and employees. 

 

February

  • A new product launched: our new Rotary Crimper. This system became part of 3P’s sterile fill-finish range, which also includes our F2V liquid fill-finish platform and our award-winning powder dosing system Fill2Weight.

March

  • Following Brexit, we had to re-think our approach to supporting our many European clients in the most effective way. So, in March we announced the formation of a Dutch-based subsidiary, 3P innovation BV.

April

  • We launched our state-of-the-art interactive showroom! Allowing customers to experience our most powerful technologies in hyper-realistic 3D.
  • Additionally, in April we became a two-time Queen’s Award Winner! Following on from our Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation this year we were also awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

May

  • We reached an exciting LinkedIn milestone:1,000+ followers!

June

  • We celebrated International Women in Engineering Day, with one of our Project Engineers, Hayley Kennard, sharing why she chose to be an engineer and discussing the current industry challenges.

 

  • After celebrating International Women in Engineering Day, we also celebrated our very first Employee Ownership Day.

July

  • A new version of the virtual showroom was launched, with this second phase including two brand new zones: the Custom Automation Zone and the Automated Fill-finish zone as well as 6 new machines including the R2/R5 fully robotic fill finish of RTU containers.

August

  • This year we won not one but two Royal Awards being awarded a Princess Royal Training Award. This award recognised our commitment to the professional development and training of young engineers through our GDP program.

September:

  • We were awarded two AZCAS awards by AstraZeneca. The first was the Organisation Award for safe on-site activities ruing one of our projects, and the second an Operative Award to Hayley Kennard for proactive employee engagement with their GERE Observation System.

 

  • Despite in-person events not going ahead this year we did virtually attend the SMI Aseptic Processing Conference. With Tom Baily, Founder and Managing Director, and David Phasey, Engineering Director, exhibiting through our virtual stand at the event.

October

  • After using a hybrid model of work over the duration of the pandemic, we welcomed the whole 3P team back into the office full-time. We even got a little welcome treat from our Employee Council. 
  • We also virtually exhibited at PDA’s Universe of Pre-filled Syringes and Injection Devices in October. With Nick Brooks, Projects Director, and Carl Jones, Project Manager, attending ready to discuss our liquid filling and parenteral device fill-finish equipment.

 

  • We were proudly recognised as an ISO9001 compliant company, upholding Quality Management Systems to the highest standard!

 

  • We celebrated World Mental Health Day 2021 with an educating lunch and learn given by Colette Thorns, recognising the importance of mental health and providing the right support to all our employees.
  • At the end of the month, we were finally presented with out 2020 and 2021 Queen’s Award by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire. We were joined by the High Sheriff of Warwickshire, The Mayor of Warwick and a few of our customers for high tea and bubbly to celebrate.

November

  • Continuing to raise awareness for World Mental Health Day, a group of 3P staff together walked over 4 million steps for mental health charity mind, raising £295 for the charity.
  • 3P attended their first Cell and Gene conference. David Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director, and David Phasey, Projects Director, attended Cell and Gene at the Abbey in Ireland.

 

  • Dave Seaward, Founder and Engineering Director, and Jake Canner, Projects Engineer, held an informative session at the EOA Confernece surrounding the topic ‘Employee Council; do I need one?’

 

December

  • We ended the year on a high note holding our very first LIVE webinar showcasing our R500 Robotic Capsule Filler. The live included a live demo of the machine, a guided tour showing the main parts and how they work, as well as an introduction to Fill2Weight technology and a live Q&A.

 

We can't wait to see where 2022 takes 3P next!
