A brand new facility brings new opportunities for our customers and employees

On 3rd December the 3P team grabbed their PC's, lap-tops and staplers and moved in to a brand-new facility just a short drive from junction 15 of the M40!  The timing for both customers and employees has been perfect;  With several major new machine contracts recently awarded and a 15% increase in work-force over the past few weeks, the new facility will provide the perfect environment for us to grow, providing our customer base with top quality, innovative manufacturing solutions.  The new facility provides a superb engineering and design space along with impressive, extensive work-shops capable of accommodating multiple projects for new process development, machine build and full production lines.  Contact us to arrange a visit.  Our new address is 3P innovation Ltd. 3P's technology to support Arcinova's 'Fill-Inova' project

3P is delighted to be Arcinova's technology partner for their exciting 'Fill-Inova' project.  Part-funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), the project aims to create a more responsive and economical method for producing complex drug formulations in smaller volumes. By employing digital technologies with automation and machine learning, Arcinova will be able to produce on-demand, specific therapies for small patient populations. 

3P will provide their state-of-the-art, patented production equipment for the project, based on our R1000 platform technology. This novel robotic capsule handling system will provide Arcinova with an agile manufacturing procedure with traceable weight recordings for each individual capsule.

Gareth Jenkins, CSO at Arcinova, said: “It is fantastic news that our innovative platform for digital medicines manufacturing has been awarded funding by UKRI.  “The grant will accelerate our Fill-Inova Project by 18 months, allowing us to quickly address a pressing patient need.”

Reach 'First-in-Human' milestones faster.  The R500/R1000 machine range enables customers to compress clinical development timescales and reduce costs.  The machines provide a highly flexible and scaleable powder filling capability for capsules, devices and other containers.  Our latest addition to the range includes our innovative rotary feeder for the gentle and flexible handling of bulk powder in-feed to the machine.
The R500/R1000 machine range provides the opportunity to reduce or eliminate 'formulation for filling' steps in a new drug development; Integrating our world-leading Fill2Weight technology, it is capable of handling the most challenging powders with poor flow properties, including spray-dried powders, pure API, micronised, blended and bulk lyophilised powders.  Fully automated, GMP compliant and suitable for sterile manufacture.

Investing in our people - investing in robotics

 
As leaders in robotic integration, 3P is investing in the latest collaborative robots so called 'cobots'.  This year many of our engineers have spent time training at Staubli’s UK HQ. “The enhanced safety features of cobots provides both end-users and an OEM such as 3P with major advantages", said Dr Dave Seaward during the training; “This is why we have made a significant investment in this technology.  We have been very pleased with Staubli’s range of cleanroom and aseptic “stericlean” robots;  The introduction of the TX2/CS9 range of cobots opens up a much wider range of opportunities and applications for the safe and effective use of robots in manufacturing."

Welcome to our new placement students and graduates!

We would like to welcome our new placement students who have got off to a great start, already making an excellent contribution to a number of diverse projects. We wish them a successful year with us. 3P's Student Placement Scheme provides a limited number of highly sought after positions for talented engineering students selected from across the engineering disciplines. Placement students will work as part of a team on real projects and will be expected to support a wide and diverse set of activities, including design, innovation, machine assembly and development, product development, customer visits and on-site support.
