3P innovation and Nova Laboratories have won Manufacturing Innovation of the Year at the inaugural ISPE UK Industry Awards 2025, held at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium. The accolade recognises a collaborative project that delivered a compact, highly automated aseptic fill–finish solution for Nova’s Leicester site.
Bringing together Nova’s pharmaceutical expertise with 3P innovation’s strengths in automation and precision engineering, the team created a system that integrates advanced filling and crimping within a space‑constrained, Annex 1‑compliant suite. Designed to handle a smaller vial format while increasing throughput, the solution maintains stringent sterility and operator safety standards without expanding the facility footprint.
The project builds on a long‑standing partnership between the two organisations. Having previously designed and delivered fill–finish lines now operating successfully at Nova’s site, 3P innovation worked closely with Nova’s engineers to co‑develop a tailored system that meets exacting regulatory, spatial and operational requirements.
“Our team is incredibly proud to receive this recognition from ISPE alongside our partners at Nova Laboratories,” said Nick Brook, Managing Director at 3P innovation. “This project shows what’s possible when pharma and engineering work hand in hand: a compact, future‑ready fill–finish solution that boosts capacity without compromising aseptic integrity. It reflects the ingenuity of both teams and the strength of our long‑standing partnership with Nova.”
The award underscores Nova Laboratories’ leadership in aseptic processing and 3P innovation’s track record in delivering custom, high‑performance manufacturing solutions for life sciences. Together, the partners are helping accelerate reliable, compliant supply of critical therapies to patients.
