There's no question that 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us, but we'd like to wave it goodbye with a positive mindset!

Therefore, keen to find a silver lining, we invite you to take a look at this year's highlights:

• January

Our 2020 started by packing up a 'little' aseptic fill-finish line order that Santa forgot to pick up!

• February

The Coventry and Warwickshire Green Business Programme released a video case study on our £395,000 investment to reduce carbon emissions, expand our workforce and lower energy costs as part of our Sustainability Strategy for 2019/2020

• March

We attended the ISPE Conference in Washington DC (little did we know that would be our last face-to-face event of the year!).

By the end of the month, we had set up a community-led initiative for the 3D printing and later injection moulding of PPE Face Visors in response to the Covid19 crisis.  The production line continued until June 2020,  culminating in delivery of over 30,000 visors to the NHS and the care-workers community.

• April

We were very proud and delighted to be awarded the 'Queen's Award for Enterprise in Innovation' for our Fill2Weight powder micro-dosing technology.  You can read more about this innovative technology here.

• May

We achieved a new production record for our PPE Visors of 4,260 in one day!

• June

The Queen's Awards Magazine was published and we were featured on page 98 as winners of the 'Queen's Award for Enterprise in Innovation'.

• July

We recorded our most successful year yet, achieving record turnover, annual growth of almost 40% and recruitment of another 10 engineers. 

• August

Our 3P visor design was awarded with a CE mark and we won an Innovate UK Grant for industrialisation.

• September

Our Business Development Director, Simon Strothers, joined the Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Quarterly Business Report Q3 Briefing, to discuss the importance of embracing innovation in order to survive, thrive and contribute to an economic recovery during the pandemic.

We launched F2V, our ultra-compact and fully customisable, aseptic fill-finish platform; available in single and multi-station formats.

• October

We installed and commissioned the R1000 Robotic Capsule Filler for Arcinova, as part of the ‘Fill-Inova’ project. Fitted with two of our award-winning Fill2Weight powder filling modules, the R1000 will enable Arcinova to develop and launch new drugs to market quicker, reducing clinical development timescales and achieving First-in-Human milestones faster and at lower cost.

• November

29th November marked the second anniversary of moving into our Bosworth Avenue facility!

We were awarded a UK Business Hero stamp by the British Chambers of Commerce and were extremely honoured to receive a letter of support from HRH The Countess of Wessex! This award recognised our efforts to support the local community through the NHS Visor Production Initiative that we kicked off at the start of the Covid-19 crisis.

• December

We were very pleased to virtually exhibit for the first time at DDL 2020.  Although not quite the same as the real thing, it still provided us with a welcome opportunity to catch up with all of our inhalation friends.  

And that's a wrap on 2020 - We're excited to see what 2021 brings!
