Software Engineer

Software Engineer

We are looking for more creative, energetic engineers for permanent positions at our facility in Warwick.

We already have lots of clever technologies and ideas, but we want more to grow our business. We need the right people to help us to achieve this.

You will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team of great engineers who love the challenges (and frustrations!) of engineering and who see projects through from start to finish.  You will brainstorm new ideas, you will argue your case for a better solution and you will design, code and debug machines and test rigs using plc's and/or real time control using VB.  An interest and experience in instrumentation, servo motors and vision systems would be an advantage, but not essential. You will also have fun - both in and out of work!  We’re an active bunch, so expect to be encouraged to join in with lots of extra-curricular activities.

You need to be smart, with at least a 2(ii) degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is up for a challenge and who wants to learn fast, who can work well in a team environment and who wants real opportunity to advance quickly in their career.  Everyone gets a chance to make an impact:  We recognise achievement and results, not years in the job.

Our machines use the latest controllers from a range of suppliers such as Beckhoff, Siemens and Allen Bradley. State machines coded using Codesys structured text  (to IEC 61131-3) is our preferred  programming method. Similarly Copa data's Zenon environment is used for HMI's. Occasionally industrial PC's are also used. Experience in at least one of these technologies would be ideal but not essential.

You won’t just be working in a narrow field of engineering:  We are talking about new products, processes and complete production solutions.  Expect to meet product designers, marketers, scientists and technologists who need our help – and expect to play a central role in providing what they need.

You will be based at our premises in Warwick, the capital of rural Warwickshire.  Our county is packed full of interesting history, culture, beautiful countryside, award-winning country pubs and top-class restaurants.

Your salary will be competitive depending on experience.  We will also match contribution into a personal pension scheme (up to 7.5%) and will also contribute towards you becoming chartered, and retaining membership of a professional engineering institution. Our facility has free parking.

As you might expect when working on the next generation of products, most of what we do is of a confidential nature, but more general information is available on this website. Apply today to join our ever increasing team of like-minded engineers.
