Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer

As part of a growing, successful, engineering organisation, we are looking for creative, energetic and experienced mechanical engineers for permanent positions at our facility in Warwick.

Do you have a passion for engineering and a mechanical engineering degree from University with an excellent reputation for engineering (this probably means you have an MEng)? Do you enjoy engineering so much that you have on-going technical projects at home? Do you consider yourself practical (possibly building/maintaining your own cars/motorbikes/bicycles)? Have you got more than 2 years of experience after graduation? If this sounds like you then please apply to a company that shares your passion for engineering.

The role is clear:  You’ll work on designing and developing advanced new products, new technologies and new production machines. Our equipment and services are sought out by a wide range of industrial sectors, and we work primarily for the major multi-nationals in the medical device, pharmaceutical and fast moving consumer goods industries.

We already have lots of clever technologies and ideas, but we want more to grow our business further. We need the right engineers to help us to achieve this.

You will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team of talented engineers who love the challenges (and frustrations!) of engineering and who see projects through from start to finish.  You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects from cradle to grave: our engineers assist with preparing proposals, developing proof of concept test rigs, carrying out experiments, designing machinery (using Autodesk Inventor), coordinating the assembly of equipment and final commissioning. Our engineers are often named inventors on client patent applications. Many of our machines are for the pharmaceutical sector, such that, knowledge of validation is useful.  As a project engineer you will also have profit and loss responsibility for your projects whilst using and developing your commercial, project management and people management skills.

You will also have fun - both in and out of work!  We’re an active bunch, so expect to be encouraged to join in with lots of extra-curricular activities.

You need to be smart, with at least a 2(ii) degree in mechanical engineering. Please DO NOT apply unless you have at least a 2(ii) degree in mechanical engineering or a related subject, at least 2 years of post graduate experience, and are eligible to work in the UK.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is up for a challenge and who wants to learn fast, who can work well in a team environment and who wants real opportunity to advance quickly in their career.  Every engineer gets a chance to make an impact:  We recognise achievement and results, not years in the job.

You won’t just be working on a small sub-assembly or in a narrow field of engineering:  We are talking about new products, processes and complete production solutions.  Expect to meet product designers, marketers, scientists and technologists who need our help – and expect to play a central role in providing what they need.

You will be based at our premises in Warwick, the capital of rural Warwickshire.  Our county is packed full of interesting history, culture, beautiful countryside, award-winning country pubs and top-class restaurants.

Your salary will be competitive depending on experience.  We will also match contribution into a personal pension scheme (up to 7.5%) and will also contribute towards you becoming chartered, and retaining membership of a professional engineering institution. Our facility has free parking.

As you might expect when working on the next generation of products, most of what we do is of a confidential nature, but more general information is available on this website. Apply today to join our ever increasing team of like-minded engineers.
